Do not hire Global Books Publishers. They do not deliver the books you pay

This review is based on our documented experience with the company and is supported by our contract, invoices, emails, text messages, project timelines and written communications.
DiegoTalks is a nonprofit organization. We hired Global Books Publishers to develop and publish 16 educational mini books. Our signed contract was for $2,000, and we paid the required first installment of $1,000.
Unfortunately, that is where the problems began.
From the first weeks of the project, we experienced repeated delays, poor communication and work that consistently fell below the professional standards we expected from a publishing company. Instead of receiving guidance from experienced publishing professionals, we found ourselves managing much of the project. We had to provide design direction, writing corrections, formatting guidance, branding standards and project management because the work delivered did not meet expectations.
The company repeatedly established deadlines and repeatedly failed to meet them. Every missed deadline was followed by another promise and another delay. Phone calls were not returned, messages often went unanswered and meaningful progress was minimal despite months of effort on our part to keep the project moving.
We gave Global Books Publishers every reasonable opportunity to complete the work. We documented our concerns, established action plans, communicated expectations in writing and continued working in good faith.
Nothing changed.
After months without receiving the books we had contracted for, we requested a refund.
Instead of honoring that request, we were told the company had already invested too much time in the project. We were also told that completing the work would require us to pay substantially more than the amount stated in our signed contract, more than $500 per book.
We rejected that position. A signed contract is a signed contract.
To date, we have invested $1,000 and have received no published books, no refund and no accountability. We will continue sharing our documented experience until this matter is resolved and our refund is issued.
Our board of directors reviewed every document related to this project and consulted legal counsel. Based on the evidence, we concluded that other authors, nonprofit organizations and businesses deserve to know about our experience before deciding to hire this company.
One of our greatest frustrations has been the complete lack of accountability. Despite repeated attempts, we were unable to reach company leadership, and no meaningful resolution was ever provided. The organization provides little or no public information about its leadership, and we found numerous online reviews from customers describing experiences similar to ours.
We cannot recommend Global Books Publishers.
Before signing a contract with this company, ask difficult questions. Ask who will actually perform the work. Ask what happens if deadlines are missed. Ask how refund requests are handled. Ask to speak with company management before making your first payment.
Our experience was disappointing, costly and, in our opinion, avoidable.
We will continue pursuing every lawful option available to recover our funds. We will also continue sharing our documented experience through review platforms and social media so other authors and organizations can make an informed decision before hiring Global Books Publishers.
This review reflects our honest opinion and our firsthand experience with this company.
